In Arpil 2016, Bravo renewed Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce for three more seasons through Season 5. On August 5, 2016, Bravo cancelled the series, with the upcoming fifth season to be the last. The final three seasons will air across 19 episodes - Season 3 will comprise seven episodes, with the fourth and fifth seasons containing six episodes each.

Bravo Media’s first original scripted series “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce,” from Universal Cable Productions (UCP), returns for season three on Wednesday, January 11 at 10 PM ET/PT. Created and executive produced by Marti Noxon, the series follows Abby McCarthy (Lisa Edelstein) and her tightknit circle of friends, as they pick up the pieces and explore a newfound sense of freedom. The season two finale of “Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce” (2/23/16) ranked as the most-watched episode of the season, delivering 1.3 million total viewers. This season, the women deal with redefining themselves while experiencing significant changes in their personal and professional lives. Abby struggles to revamp her image and figure out what’s next after her meeting with SheShe goes awry. With her ex Jake (Paul Adelstein) handling finances, Abby switches gears to try her hand at romance novels and finds inspiration from her son’s enigmatic baseball coach, Mike (James Lesure). After being left at the altar, Delia (Necar Zadegan) questions if she is marriage material and focuses her attention on getting her career back on track. Jo (Alanna Ubach) takes a risk mixing business and pleasure with her sex addict head baker Scott (Will Kemp) while also dealing with the repercussions of her alcoholic ex-husband Frumpkis (Maury Sterling). Barbara (Retta) gets a new role at SheShe and treats herself to a kitchen renovation, bringing a new man into her life, handsome contractor Darrell (Malcolm-Jamal Warner), who just may fix more than her stove. Meanwhile, Phoebe (Beau Garett) deals with the consequences of rushing into her marriage with J.D (Aaron Staton) and finds escape in her friendship with a charismatic billionaire named Gemma (Daisy Betts).
