It’s the King of the Swamp, Troy Landry’s toughest season yet as Nature seems determined to keep him from tagging out. He’ll face off with friends and foes alike, battling to provide for his family and preserve his Cajun way of life. Over in Hammond, favorite Bruce Mitchell is back, starting his second season without beloved gator-dog Tyler. Bruce’s partner, Ron Methvin, puts their partnership to the test when he reveals a big surprise on the first day, and it turns into a season of struggles and healing, as Bruce battles to fill his tags and overcome his loss.

Down in Houma, R.J. Molinere and son Jay Paul have big plans and make some bold moves in a bid for dominance. But R.J. is approaching his mid-50’s now, and is beginning to slow down, presenting challenges for his season and his relationship with his son Jay Paul.

The toughest guy on the swamp, Willie Edwards, is back solo. And for the first time ever, he’s got tags of his own as he tries to step out of the shadow of his father, legendary gator hunter Junior Edwards.

Swamp-man Glenn Guist is back, living life in the swamp on his own terms. His quirky approach to freedom is as entertaining as ever as he relies on a combination of ingenuity and swamp smarts to get by.

The Edgar family, a three-generation family of Creole men from the southern part of the state, are new on the scene. Papa Daniel is joined by his son, Joey, and grandson Dorien, as they hunt over 200 tags this season. But their tight knit relationship can lead to fireworks as they take on the swamp–and each other.

Frenchy Crochet and Gee Singleton are also new this season. Faith in God is the glue that holds this team together, along with Frenchy’s unorthodox hunting methods, as they take on over 100 tags down in Bayou Black.
