At once deeply observed and intriguingly elusive, The Affair explores the emotional effects of an extramarital relationship. Noah is a New York City schoolteacher and budding novelist with a wife of twenty years and four children. Alison is a young waitress and wife from Montauk at the end of Long Island, trying to piece her life back together in the wake of a tragedy. The provocative drama unfolds separately from multiple perspectives, using the distinct memory biases of each character to tell the story.
PLEASE HAVE A FOURTH SEASON. THIS IS THE MOST EXCITING DRAMA I HAVE EVER SEEN. I LOVE ALL OF THE CHARACTERS ESPECIALLY COLE. I FIND MYSELF TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHAT IS BEST FOR ALL OF THE CHARACTERS.

I just finished binge-watching the affair all 3 Seasons… you have to renew and have season 4 . Tthis is one of the best!!!!
Please end this — there needs to be a conclusion instead of tawdry plot twists.
Please have a season four and more if possible. The show is wonderful.
The series was good until the French lady. An uncompelling character with no need to have a perspective. The story should have remained about Noah and Allison, Cole and Helen. The intriguing story became so unwound, uninspired and boring the further away Allison and Noah got from each other. I get the whole guilt thing the binds the 3. Noah killing his mother, the French lady probably had a hand in her husband’s death. And of course, the unintentional accident involving Allisons son Gabrielle. However, the addition of this particular actress didn’t resonate with a great many of the loyal fans this show had the first 2 seasons. If the network is smart, they will find a way to quietly let her fade off in the very first episode of season 4, and let the 4 characters we love start working their magic. I personally wouldn’t mind seeing Noah back with Helen or Allison, or alone. Just please, no more of the French chick. She’s got to go!
I found this show by accident too (from SYdney, Australia) and I’m hooked, can’t wait for season 4…..and I agree with earlier comment……..i would be saying
Auvoir to the French chick too…..she’s too boring, ring back more of Noah/Alison/Helen/Cole…..but great show, well done to all actors, (fantastic yank accents from the poms) & well,done to Showtime !!

The music at the beginning of the show is HORRIBLE!! I always mute the sound.
I like the lyrics…be the wave that I am and then slip back into the ocean. But yeah, that part where she sings, The echo I created…cringe every time.

Hoping for a season four and more. Noah should go it alone. He failed at marriage. I agree that Juliette should be phased out. Cole is the most likeable character and he has too deep a bond with Alison it seems not to end up with her. I agree he is the best character of the show. With Noah’s long sexual obsession in just about any female he could get his hands on, it is good albeit at fifty he is learning that family, specifically his children, are what is most important in life. I see him realizing this more and more in season four, appreciating his sister more and of course writing another book, third time’s the charm. In the end, Noah should be with Helen, if not married then the closest of friends. That Dr she’s with now needs to go too. The way he talks about his patients behind their backs is in itself an unfaithful act. Like he said about himself, he’s an asshole. Oh and I was intrigued with the part where in prison he was inflicting pain and injury on himself when he believed the guard was doing it to him. I would go to more places with that very interesting plot twist. Not sure how it would be inserted now that he realized what actually happened. Eager for it to come back though. Hurry up, season four.
I love this series. But need to get back to the original characters, Noah, Helen, Cole & Alison. Season 3 was so depressing with Juliette. She needs to go. Please, please have a season 4. I live to watch this program. I also did not like the 3 year jump. So much took place during that time. Didn’t understand what Alison or Cole went through during that time. Get back to the original plot of The Affair & keep it an amazing drama!
I agree 100%. Useless character. Would like to see Noah with Alison. What is up with her? Now she doesn’t love him anymore?
the entire Juliette storyline was a complete waste!
Cole and Alison belong together with their daughter a second chance maybe another baby!
Noah and Helen need to finish bringing up their children together. Obvious these two couples love each other. Leave it up to the writers to work their magic and end this story. Other then that it will just be another soap.
In season 4, introduce a sexually life threatening disease like HPV with the 16, 18 strains of the virus that are and can be life threatening. Then start the blame game who got it who spread it – and who has it – all of them??? then have a moment of celibacy and abstinence – and deep reflections of true love and family values.
What kind of pure, ridiculous malarkey is that suggestion above? The Affair: Preachy Evangelical Edition?
No. That does not sound entertaining or fun.
Matter fact it sounds unwatchable.
I to am waiting for Season 4. And also agree on loosing the French lady. Perhaps you need a other fling sorta for Noah, but no chemistry with Juliet. Please bring it back
The news of a fourth season took way too long. There are so many new shows this season, the fans of the affair may not be there as much. Way too long to bring this back!!!!
Finally a season premiere release date! This took way too long and I fear some fans may have been lost. Some fans were already teetering on the edge on not continuing to watch with the French lady story line fiasco. They need to get back to the basics in S #4!
