Throughout the wilderness of British Columbia, a century-old legend grows; a curse on a hoard of gold worth billions and anyone brave enough to seek it. CURSE OF THE FROZEN GOLD, premiering Sunday, February 14, at 10 PM ET/PT, follows a fearless team of six determined explorers who combine their unique skills and take advantage of summer’s warmer temperatures in order to solve the mystery of Slumach’s Gold and The Lost Creek Mine. As they battle the harsh landscape, unpredictable elements, betrayal and forces beyond explanation, the team knows its success could lead them to fortune, but any wrong turn could be deadly.

As legend goes, Slumach put a curse on all the gold he found in the mountains just before he was hanged for murder in 1891. It is said he muttered “When I die, the mine dies,” but that didn’t stop numerous prospectors from making the treacherous trek throughout the mountains searching for the riches. Some of them never returned and no one knows what happened to them. Whether it is the pull of the curse or gold-fever, people will still risk everything to find the truth and the gold.
