About The Furchester Hotel

Big Bird takes a trip to The Furchester Hotel to surprise his friend Elmo, as the series from CBeebies and Sesame Workshop returns to CBeebies.
Elmo has been missing his friend Big Bird and is very excited to see him. The only problem is that the Furchesters have never hosted anyone quite so…BIG! The fun begins as they hurry to find a room large enough for their big, yellow visitor.

The Furchester Hotel is a series for 3-6 year-olds set in the “almost” world-class hotel run by a close-knit family of cheerfully chaotic monsters. As guests arrive at the hotel, they are greeted by owner Funella Furchester, her loving husband, Furgus Fuzz, and their daughter, the unflappable Phoebe Furchester-Fuzz.

The Furchesters are joined by Phoebe’s cousin Elmo, on an extended visit, and Cookie Monster, who has landed his dream job as a room service and dining room waiter.

The Furchester Hotel aims to promote and build creative problem-solving skills for young viewers. As the Furchester family scramble to meet the needs of their very big guest, the monsters use their exceptional thinking skills to brainstorm possible solutions. Even when they think they have exhausted all possibilities, their perseverance prevails because their family motto is 'A Furchester never gives up!'

The new series features more music, more creative problem solving, and more physical comedy than ever. Expect slapstick, farce, doors being thrown open and slammed shut, revolving doors spinning, and lifts zooming up and down and back up again.

Storylines include an Aquarium Suite for fish guests, a visit from famous “fur stylist,” Vidal Raccoon, and the much anticipated arrival of Count von Count!
