The White Princess Season 1 (Season 2 in the franchise) premiered April 16, 2017 on Starz. Starz has renewed The White Princess for followup series The Spanish Princess, Season 3 in the franchise.

The White Queen is a riveting portrayal of one of the most dramatic and turbulent times in English history. This epic begins in war-torn 1464 and is uniquely told through the perspective of three different, yet equally relentless women- Elizabeth Woodville, Margaret Beaufort and Anne Neville. In their quest for power, they will scheme, manipulate and seduce their way onto the English throne.

The Spanish Princess follows Catherine of Aragon, the beautiful teen princess of Spain who was promised the English throne since she was a child. She arrives in England with her court including her lady-in-waiting Lina, an African Moor. She is Princess of Wales now, but when her husband Prince Arthur dies suddenly, the throne seems lost to Catherine. Until she claims her marriage was never consummated and that as a virgin she may set her sights on the new heir, the charismatic and headstrong Prince Harry who will one day rule as King Henry VIII.
