Really enjoy Major Crimes. It is a well written and engrossing crime drama….a bit rare these days.. Appreciate the great acting from veteran actors. This show doesn’t have to take their clothes off, use profanity, etc. because they have relevant material. Looking forward to Season 6.
(P.S. Miss the Closer, especially since didn’t get to see how it ended and transitioned into Major Crimes. Also, liked Rizzoli and Isles, good way to end show!)
The transition episode was Major Crimes season 1 episode 1. The time gap was only a couple of days which gave Provenza the opportunity to think he’d be the new head of Major Crimes. Captain Raydor was brought in much to his annoyance. He threatened all kinds of things to Chief Taylor to no avail. Eventually he came to respect Captain Raydor.
Brenda took the new assignment still in LA, just for the City rather than the PD. This was mentioned at the end of season 7 of The Closer.
Love, love, love Major Crimes! Please renew it. You don’t find a well-acted, well-written, well-transitioned mystery program any more. At my age I have seen some of the best go away, never to be seen again. Yet so many absolutely trashy shows are still go on and on and on, especially the reality shows. I find it hard to believe that anyone with a half a brain cares about bachelors, housewives, Barts, survivors, etc. year after sickening year. And please, don’t forgive the Kardashions and Caitlin!!!! Who could really care?

Why don’t they give you a date when this program starts-up again instead of all this drama and secrecy about it.? The program/stories are good except for that Rusty character. What a whiney character. He is such a
such a distraction to the program.
