Combining action and drama with ride-or-die friendship and humor, LETHAL WEAPON reimagines the hit movie franchise, as it follows classic cop duo Riggs and Murtaugh, who work a crime-ridden beat in modern-day Los Angeles. Michelle Hurd Joins LETHAL WEAPON as Recurring Guest Star as “Gina Santos,” who is brought in as Chief, above Avery (Kevin Rahm), to take some control of the division. She has a past with Murtaugh (Damon Wayans), and he is somewhat paralyzed by her arrival and the sexual tension between them, though it may be just in his head.
Grief-stricken after the loss of his young wife and unborn child, ex-Navy SEAL-turned-detective MARTIN RIGGS (Clayne Crawford, “Rectify”) moves to California to “start over” at the LAPD. He’s paired up with ROGER MURTAUGH (Emmy Award nominee Damon Wayans, “My Wife and Kids,” “In Living Color”), who’s just coming back to the job after a near-fatal heart attack. Riggs’ penchant for diving headfirst into the line of fire immediately clashes with Murtaugh’s prudent, by-the-book technique.
When CAPTAIN BROOKS AVERY (Kevin Rahm, “Mad Men”) assigns them their first case together, Riggs drags Murtaugh into a high-speed chase culminating inside the Long Beach Grand Prix and a seaport shootout with drug dealers – and despite his protests, the older cop feels more alive than he has in years. Meanwhile, Riggs gets a glimpse of why Murtaugh is so determined to get home safely at the end of each day – he’s got a wife, TRISH (Keesha Sharp, “The People v. OJ Simpson: American Crime Story”), teenagers ROGER, JR. (Dante Brown, “Mr. Robinson”) and RIANA (newcomer Chandler Kinney) and a newborn baby.
Riggs’ life-on-the-edge attitude makes him a priority case for the department’s psychologist, DR. MAUREEN “MO” CAHILL (Jordana Brewster, “Furious 7”). Rounding out the precinct is SCORSESE (Johnathan Fernandez, “Girls,” “Younger”), a pathologist with the LAPD who got his nickname after a stint in film school, which no one will let him forget.

Lethal Weapon IS ONE OF THE MOST FUNNYEST TV Shows on TV Right Now. I Laugh Myself to death EVERY TIME I watch this show. There is ALWAYS something funny around the corner on this TV Show. Please keep it going. I’ve watched every single series when it aired on TV and I’m Even watching the reruns as well. They’re even funnier the 2nd time around as well. Please keep Season 3 ongoing of lethal weapon. Thank You

What a great show! Martin and Riggs are dynamite together. It will not be the same if calyne is not in it, he is a great actor……this is such a bummer!! Please reconsider!
Please accept Caylne apology. He and wayans are the show. I believe he is a great actor. I love this show. I am always looking forward to Tuesday night so that I can watch the next show. If they replace him with someone else you will be losing a lot of watchers, myself included.

They must bring the show back and Riggs has to come back. He apologized take it and let it go. There will not be a show if Riggs and Murdock are not together. It will be GOODBYE to a great show and a very sad day

I look forward to watching the show weekly and I have grown to love Martin Riggs – can’t the producers make up with his character and keep filming for another season- III – everyone makes mistakes and Riggs should be forgiven.

My wife and I love Lethal Weapon and the characters make it. We saw that there is talk of someone else playing Martin Riggs instead of Clayne Crawford. If that happens we could care less about watching it. No need to bring it back for a 3rd season.
We used to love Law and Order Special Victims Unit but when the took Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) off the show it has continued to spiral downhill. We no longer watch that show either. Hopefully the producers pull their heads out and do the right thing.
I will never watch this show again if you take clayne out! he is a integeral part and it would not be the same without him>please renew!!!

Riggs is A slightly unhinged former Navy SEAL you expect some one to play this part and then the next moment just go back being himself. Acting doesn’t always work that way. As far as I am concerned only outstanding actors such as Clayne Crawford could play Riggs and the reason is he has to stay in character during shooting.
I’m all over the internet trying to find information about my favorite tv show. I love Lethal Weapon! They seem so real!!! The friendship, the closeness…forget they’re acting.I love them both and I love the storyline. Am crazy about Riggs. You shot him!!! He cannot die! Ok you fired Crawford? He made the show!!! Clayne Crawford was FIRED at the of S2. , He was killed. He has been replaced by Seann William Scott for S3, which will air in the Fall 2018. Clayne Crawford was abusive towards all cast & crew and they eventually refused to work with them. WARNERs warned Fox they needed to fire him or they wouldnt order S3.

shocked as he seemed to do alot for charlity.. and for kids charitys. shame, seemed nice and his acting skills were top notch im gutted ,, for him and the lethal weapon team, i like him still but i didnt see a bad side i guess,
I’ve also read reports that Clayne was aware of unsafe conditions on set, attempted to advise the top at WB, and was told to go through with everything anyway. Then an accident occurred and he got ticked off due to it. This supposedly happened several times… and if that’s the case, you can’t blame him for getting pissed off….
Even if those reports I had read are not true, he did apologize either way, and they should give him one more chance, especially since he was surprisingly about as good as Gibson in the role. But nope, they had to choose a horrible actor like Scott…. apparently after multiple other (more talented) stars turned down the chance since they’d have to work with Wayans, if reports are to be believed in that case.
Wayans honestly seemed to think that Murtaugh was the star (err, no, in every Lethal Weapon that’s Riggs…) of Lethal Weapon. Added to the fact that everybody I’ve talked with that has worked with Wayans stated he’s a glory hog who will do anything to keep the spotlight on himself and not any other star, and it seems suspicious….
But whatever. Lethal Weapon is as good as dead without Riggs/with Scott.
