About The Fosters

The Fosters is a compelling, one-hour drama about a multi-ethnic family mix of adopted and biological teenaged kids being raised by two moms. Stef Adams Foster, a dedicated police officer, and her wife, Lena Adams Foster, a school vice principal, have built a close-knit, loving family with Stef’s biological son from a previous marriage, Brandon; their adopted twins, Mariana and Jesus; and adopted siblings, Jude and his half-sister Callie.
Season 5 picks up immediately from the dramatic cliffhanger finale with Jesus knocked out by Mariana’s ex-boyfriend Nick and Callie trapped in the car with Troy Johnson, who she fears is the true killer of Martha Johnson. Jesus is rushed to the hospital and into surgery, his family anxiously waiting to hear about the extent of his injury. Stef and Lena become so wrapped up with Jesus’ situation that they don’t learn that Callie is in trouble until it’s too late. Mariana must deal with her role in Jesus’ injury, while Brandon dreads telling Stef and Mike that he has lost his chance to attend Juilliard. Despite getting in trouble for smoking pot, Jude will continue to date Noah and consider having sex for the first time. Stef works toward making detective, while Lena ends up having to take a leave of absence from her job. Mike will take his relationship with Ana to the next level, asking her to move in with him and his foster son AJ. This season will include guest appearances by Annie Potts, Kerr Smith and Rob Morrow.
On January 3, 2018, Freeform cancelled The Fosters after five seasons. The fifth and final season will conclude summer 2018 with a three-part 'limited-event' series finale. With news of the show's cancellation, Freeform announced a Fosters spinoff series (slated to air during the 2018-19 season) starring Maia Mitchell (Callie) and Cierra Ramirez (Mariana) as they embark on the next phase of their young adult lives.

This show should be renewed. It’s a good show to watch because of all the different issues that are faced with the world today and it always has a life lesson. It starts have great conversations for my family to discuss and resolve some of her own personal issues especially with my daughter.

This show is so well done and ALL the actors are superb. The storylines are true to life and should be renewed. Did Trump have anything to do with this decision?!!
