Award-winning premium dramas, offbeat comedies, and compelling and Emmy-nominated docu-series anchor the 2016 FX, FXX, and VICELAND fall schedules of must-see TV this season. It begins on Sunday, August 28th.
FX
Brand-new seasons of daring dramas return to the FX schedule this season, with Season 3 of Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain on Sunday, August 28th at 10pm, and the sixth haunting installment of Emmy and Golden Globe-winning series American Horror Story on Wednesday, September 14th at 10pm.
Then, lighten the mood with some laughs when new series Atlanta, created by and starring actor, writer, and musician Donald Glover (Community) debuts Tuesday, September 6th at 10pm. The series follows two cousins as they make their way through the Atlanta rap scene. Next up, new comedy Better Things joins FX’s schedule Thursday, September 8th at 10pm. Created by Louis C.K. and Pamela Adlon (Louie), the series chronicles the hectic life of Sam (Adlon), a working actor trying to earn a living, guide her daughters through life, and squeeze in some private time once in a while.

Cult-hit comedy You’re the Worst is back for Season 3 on Wednesday, August 31st at 10pm, providing a modern look at love and happiness through the eyes of Jimmy Shive-Overly (Chris Geere) and Gretchen Cutler (Aya Cash).
VICELAND
Joining VICELAND’s lineup of world-class content are Canadian original series Payday, RISE, and Abandoned. Premiering Friday, September 2nd at 10pm, Abandoned follows legendary skateboarder, photographer, and traveller Rick McCrank as he embarks on a journey through abandoned landmarks of industrialization, commerce, and culture in an attempt to breathe new life into them through skateboarding. Then, on Tuesday, October 4th at 11pm, Payday offers a critical examination of millennials who are highly educated and streetwise, yet face mounting debt, struggle to find decent jobs, and work to survive in the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression. RISE, premiering Wednesday, October 26th at 11pm, follows hosts Sarain Carson-Fox and Gitz Crazyboy as they embark on a journey of discovery to examine the social and political factors that threaten the survival of Indigenous cultures in the 21st Century.
The newest docu-series joining the VICELAND lineup is Black Market: More Stories, premiering Tuesday, October 4th at 10:30pm, examining illicit economies around the world and their effects on society. Then, follow VICE correspondent Hamilton Morris as he travels the world investigating unusual psychoactive drugs and the history, chemistry, and people behind them in the brand-new series Hamilton’s Pharmacopeia, beginning Tuesday, October 26th at 10pm.
Returning to the schedule are Season 2 of fan-favourite series Weediquette on Wednesday August 31st at 10pm, Gaycation on Tuesday, September 6th at 10pm, and Balls Deep on Thursday, October 27th at 10pm. (Source: FX)
