In the series’ second season, the Greenleaf family tree will split at the root as Jacob (Lamman Rucker, “Why Did I Get Married?”) ventures off to begin his new career with long-time rival church Triumph Ministries, breaking faith with his father, Bishop James Greenleaf (Emmy-winner Keith David, “Community”) while his mother, Lady Mae Greenleaf (Golden Globe nominee and Emmy-winner Lynn Whitfield, “The Josephine Baker Story”), struggles with Jacob’s decision to abandon the family. Meanwhile, after exposing her Uncle Mac’s (GregAlan Williams, “The Accountant”) crimes, but failing to bring him to justice, Grace “Gigi” Greenleaf (Merle Dandridge, “The Night Shift”) finds herself intrigued with someone new, Darius Nash (guest star Rick Fox, “Dope”), a local journalist who’s been closely following the ongoing threats plaguing the Greenleaf empire. Oprah Winfrey (“Selma”) also returns in her guest starring role as Mavis McCready, the sister of Lady Mae Greenleaf and a close confidante to Grace Greenleaf.

Why does the opposing church young Pastor hate Rev. Greenleaf so much?
Because his father was killed in a church fire that the Bishop ordered set for insurance money when Pastor Bassey was a child.

please can you release season 3 of Green leaf …this t.v series portrays everyday living that thousands of people can relate too in so many ways….why start airing a t.v series if you have no intention to show it all…that seems to be unfair….amazing actors best t.v series I’ve seen in years …

Ok, so I just finished binging on all episodes of Greenleaf on Netflix, both seasons. & I am hooked like a fish out of water! Cannot wait for season 3 to come on Netflix. Please air the show, as it is the equivalent to comfort food. Thank you so much.
Please bring back Grealeaf this show deals with so many underlying issues in the lives of members of
any churches regardless of economical or social status. It tells the truth which makes us look with in ourselves individually and learn not to pass judgement on anyone. But focus on yourself and maybe others will see the light in you.
That’s what I believe.
a show that truly reflects life in mega churches. They truly do have affairs and try to keep things covered up just like real life businesses, while pretending everything is hunky-dory at home.
How much longer do we have to wait for season 3?
The reason so many programs get dropped due to low ratings is because you have them on for 1 season and then everyone has to wait 6 months plus. People forget what has happened or found other shows to watch in the meantime. What happened to the good old days when shows were on every week? It has been so long since I have seen Greenleaf that I am no longer interested. I am sure many people will agree with me. I can see taking 1 month off so everyone gets to vacation and recoup. I probably will no longer be watching because of this. Thank you.
