Channel 4 today announced that epic celebrity winter sports show The Jump is to return Feb. 5, 2017 for a fourth series.
Produced by Twofour and GroupM Entertainment for Channel 4 Factual Entertainment the most talked about show of the year underwent a thorough review of safety standards following the last series.
UPDATE (November 15 2016) - Cast announced for The Jump Series 4: Channel 4 confirmed today that Welsh Rugby International player Gareth Thomas, World Cup Winner and England Rugby Captain Jason Robinson OBE, and former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews as the first celebrities to strap on their skis and join the line-up for epic winter sports show The Jump.
Spencer appeared alongside Channel 4’s Chief Creative Officer, Jay Hunt, at the broadcaster’s Upfronts 2017 event for the advertising industry which took place at The Roundhouse in London on 15th November.
It was announced earlier this year that The Jump would return for a fourth series in early 2017 after a thorough review of safety standards following the last series. Series three averaged 2.3m million viewers across the six week run. Once again the series will film in Austria and air over six weeks and with Davina McCall at the helm.
Commissioned by Head of Popular Factual Liam Humphreys and Commissioning Editor, Live & Events Tom Beck the show is co-produced by Twofour and GroupM Entertainment. Melanie Leach, Andrew Mackenzie and Caroline Davies return as Executive Producers for Twofour and Abigail Adams for GroupM Entertainment.
Series three averaged 2.3m million viewers across the six week run. Over six weeks and with Davina McCall again at the helm, this fourth series will follow famous faces who take to the slopes to compete in gruelling extreme winter sports.

Earlier this year England rugby legend and world cup winner Ben Cohen was crowned 2016's champion in the nail biting finale, jumping a whopping 18.25 meters in the ski jump.
