If a chanel that requires a paid subscription to watch does not have enough ratings to pick it up for a third season than there is no way in heck any of the free to watch networks you mention will pick up the show,
Now Nashville was picked up by CMT but CMT is a cable/dish/direct channel and they don’t require the viewership that free networks require.
It is a shame because reading all the positive feedback it seems the show had quite a few fans, Just not enough for WGNAmerica. They must have been under a lot of pressure from advertisers. The only real hope for Outsiders would have been if a network along the lines of History Channel or CMT picked it up.

I have never missed a single episode of the Outsiders. I absolutely love this show there needs to be a 3rd season and several more after that…
What a ridiculous decision. This is absolutely the ONLY show we watch on this network. Never had even heard of WGN before Outsiders. No Outsiders, No WGN for my household. Dumb ASSes.

My granddaughter and I love this show . We watch it every week. We have been waiting for the third season to start and now you say its cancelled. we need more seasons

This is a great show! My husband and I watch it every week and we have the whole season 2 recorded. DO NOT CANCEL THIS SHOW!!! It’s about the only decent show on tv to watch. The people who decide to cancel this show needs to be replaced. They don’t know a good thing when they see it!! Hopefully another station will pick it up. Your loss, their gain!
I hate it to Pharmtechgirl but the decisions to cancel shows all depends on whether the advertisers who’s products advertise during the show are happy with the number of people who tune in during the show. If they feel their adds are not gettiing enough viewers they pressure the networks. At some point the networks head execs have to decide to bite the hands that feed them or keep a show going while knowing they are losing much needed income. I do think the advertisers who complain have way too big of expectations in regards to how many people must view their adds.
While many of you say you won’t watch anything on WGNAmerica anymore I am afraid you will surely run out of networks to watch because they are all bad about canceling shows that seemingly have plenty of fans. I loved this show as well but there have been plenty of shows on all the networks that I really liked only to see them cancled. I never count on my favorite shows lasting long, When they last more than three seasons I am very happy. Most of my favorite shows never make it beyond three season. On the other hand plenty of shows I myself don’t care for continue well beyond three seasons.

Are you serious? I have the air date in my calendar and didn’t hear that Outsiders has been cancelled. Absolutely extremely dissapointed. This show is brilliant and WGN made a huge mistake cancelling it. I have no reason to watch your channel now. I too hope another station will pick the show up!

OUTSIDERS. This show is the only show that my husband and I enjoy watching together. We actually record it, watch it, watch it again and talk about. Might even watch it again. We enjoy trying to figure out what will happen on the next showing. PLEASE, PLEASE, do not cancel this show. We SIMPLY love it.

The Outsiders IS one of the best shows that has been produced for TV…period. It’s well written with a great
premise and perfectly cast. There aren’t too many good shows on TV besides Animal Kingdom, Claws, Vikings and Better Call Saul. (Waiting on the last 2..)
Also, waiting on Season 2 of FX’s Taboo with Tom Hardy. Excellent TV SHOW..!!!
Before these, you have to go back to Breaking Bad and The Wire,…Sons of Anarchy and The Sopranos. And
I can’t think of any other shows in this millennium that can go up against The Outsiders. The show isn’t afraid to
take the audience to another time period and show what’s really important in life. Family. Love. Bonds and
Tradition. Things that the young adults of this day and age haven’t a clue
Canceling this show is a huge mistake. Besides, WGNA isn’t really pay television. It was a UHF Channel for
many years. Between TV and the internet, there is mostly crap on and I am so freaking tired of all these new
and existing REALITY SHOWS that are pure garbage. I swear, after the first season of Survivor, I never watched
another show of its kind.
Marvel & DC Comics have invaded our lives and frankly, they are tired as well. IMO…it’s probably coming
down to money….as it always does.
Leave this one alone WGNA. From what I’ve seen and heard, it’s the real deal.
