Showcase Delivers Bold Hits and Daring New Dramas This Fall

Showcase Releases First Look at New Canadian Original Drama Travelers, Premiering October 17

From Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, and Jennifer Todd’s Pearl Street Films, Futuristic Thriller Incorporated Debuts November 30

Legendary Lynda Carter and Tyler Hoechlin Join Season 2 of Fan Favourite Supergirl, Taking Flight October 10

Toronto, Canada – Showcase delves into the extraordinary with compelling Canadian content, bold characters, and gripping new adventures this fall. Created by Brad Wright and starring Toronto’s Eric McCormack, the new Canadian original time-travelling drama, Travelers, makes its world premiere October 17 exclusively on Showcase. Then, from Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Todd’s Pearl Street Films, futuristic thriller Incorporated explores the consequences of corporate greed beginning November 30. Additionally, Season 2 of the critically-acclaimed hit Supergirl moves to its new home on Showcase, kicking off the fall season with action-packed drama and notable new cast October 10.

Starring Eric McCormack (Perception, Will & Grace) and created by Brad Wright (Stargate franchise), Travelers is a brand new original contemporary drama with a futuristic twist. Hundreds of years from now, the last surviving humans discover how to send consciousness through time, directly into people in the 21st century. The series follows these “travelers” as they assume the lives of seemingly random people, while secretly working to save humanity from a terrible future. The travelers are: FBI Special Agent Grant MacLaren (McCormack), the team’s leader; Marcy (Alberta-native Mackenzie Porter, Hell on Wheels), a young, intellectually disabled woman in the care of her social worker, David (Edmonton’s Patrick Gilmore, You Me Her); Trevor (Manitoba-native Jared Paul Abrahamson, Awkward.), a high school quarterback; Carly (Ontario-native Nesta Marlee Cooper, Heroes Reborn), a single mom in an abusive relationship; and Philip (Reilly Dolman, Supernatural), a heroin-addicted college student. Armed only with their knowledge of history and an archive of social media profiles, the travelers discover that 21st century lives and relationships are as much of a challenge as their high-stakes missions. Produced by Peacock Alley Entertainment. Travelers airs Mondays at 9pm ET/6pm PT beginning October 17 exclusively on Showcase in Canada, and will stream on Netflix internationally later this year. Watch a first look promo for Travelers and visit Showcase’s Facebook and Twitter pages to meet the travelers.

The fall schedule continues to intrigue with the thrilling new series Incorporated. Set in a near future where corporations have unlimited power, the gripping drama follows Ben Larson (Sean Teale, Reign), a young executive who conceals his true identity to infiltrate a dangerous corporate world to save the woman he loves. However, he soon learns that he’s not the only one whose secrets may have deadly consequences. The series stars Golden Globe®-nominee Dennis Haysbert (24) as Julian, Emmy® Award-winner Julia Ormond (Mad Men) as Elizabeth, Allison Miller (Terra Nova) as Laura and Eddie Ramos (Teen Wolf) as Theo. Created and co-executive produced by Alex Pastor and David Pastor (Selfless,” The Last Days), with Ted Humphrey (The Good Wife) serving as executive producer/showrunner, Incorporated is from Matt Damon, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Todd’s Pearl Street Films, and is produced by CBS Television Studios and Universal Cable Productions and distributed internationally by CBS Studios International. Damon, Affleck and Todd also executive produce, with Pearl Street’s Margaret Chernin serving as co-producer. Incorporated airs Wednesdays at 10pm ET/6pm PT beginning November 30.

Season 2 of the hit action-adventure series, Supergirl, soars to its new home on Showcase beginning October 10 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Critics’ Choice Television Award winner for Most Exciting Series, and People’s Choice Award winner for Favourite New TV Drama, Supergirl brings superhuman crime-fighting to new heights this season as Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman) joins the cast as the President of the United States, and Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf) dons the infamous red cape as Superman, biological cousin to Supergirl/Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist). This season, Kara has left the safety of being Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) assistant in order to figure out what she really wants to do, while as Supergirl she continues to work at the DEO, protecting the citizens of National City and searching for Jeremiah (Dean Cain). Along the way, she teams up with Superman (Hoechlin) to battle new villains, as she strives to balance her personal life with her life as a superhero. Additionally, prolific director Kevin Smith directs the episode titled “Supergirl Lives.”

Showcase’s slate of bold dramas and gripping series continues with new episodes of Golden Globe Award-winning series Mr. Robot, Wednesdays at 10pmET/7pm PT. The fourth and final season of Beauty & the Beast, 2016 People’s Choice Award winner (Favourite Sci-Fi/Fantasy TV Show), continues with new episodes Sundays at 8pm ET/5pm PT, culminating with a one-hour series finale on September 18 at 8pm ET/5pm PT. Season 6 of fan-favourite show premieres on September 11 at 10pm ET/7pm PT.
