TORONTO (August 24, 2017) – CTV confirmed today the network’s fall premiere dates, featuring a primetime schedule brimming with the most sought-after, not-to-be-missed fall series filled with humanity, humour and heart. THE 69th PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS (Sunday, Sept. 17 at 8 p.m. ET exclusively on CTV) kicks off the 2017/2018 television season with ambitious new programming on CTV six out of seven days of the week.

As previously announced, CTV’s premiere week boldly begins with one of television’s most anticipated debuts of the year with STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, which makes its exclusive Canadian broadcast premiere in a special one night super-simulcast Sunday, Sept. 24 at 8:30 p.m. ET / 7:30 p.m. CT on CTV and Space. Episode 2 follows immediately the same evening only on Space.

Premiere week continues with the Season 11 premiere of Canada’s #1 series THE BIG BANG THEORY on Monday, Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV, followed by a special series preview of YOUNG SHELDON, the family comedy featuring the Sheldon Cooper backstory at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT. The brilliantly paired programs settle into their respective Thursdays at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. ET/PT timeslots beginning Nov. 2 on CTV. The laughs continue on Mondays with ME, MYSELF, & I, an innovative, single-camera comedy starring Bobby Moynihan and John Larroquette, premiering Sept. 25 at 9:30 p.m. ET/PT on CTV. A weekly house call caps off Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT with gripping hospital drama THE GOOD DOCTOR (Sept. 25), whose trailer garnered more than 25 million views online within the first week of the series announcement.

The Marvel universe delivers two new, action-packed, adventurous series to CTV’s fall slate: the legendary comic-book inspired MARVEL’S INHUMANS (Sept. 29) airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT, kicking off with a two-hour premiere on Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV – starring Canadian Serinda Swan (BALLERS) and featuring additional exclusive content that can only be seen on the network version – following its special big screen debut in IMAX theatres worldwide (limited two-week run beginning Sept. 1). Plus, family adventure series THE GIFTED (Oct 2) airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT based on Marvel Comics’ X-Men properties and starring Stephen Moyer (TRUE BLOOD).

Tensions run high with two new riveting mystery series joining CTV’s primetime schedule on Sundays, beginning Oct. 1: CTV’s gripping new original mystery event series, THE DISAPPEARANCE, airing at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The six-part, hour-long family drama features a stellar ensemble cast, including Emmy® winner Peter Coyote (E.T.) and Critics’ Choice Television Award nominee Aden Young (RECTIFY); followed by the buzzy TEN DAYS IN THE VALLEY, starring Emmy® Award and Golden Globe® Award-winner Kyra Sedgwick, airing at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

The premieres continue in October with the inspirational fantasy dramedy KEVIN (PROBABLY) SAVES THE WORLD, airing Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Oct. 3. In addition, the politically-charged comedy THE MAYOR, starring Lea Michele and newcomer Brandon Micheal Hall, airs Saturdays at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT, starting Oct. 7 on CTV.

Meanwhile, CTV’s fall schedule also sees the return of last season’s top new series: the widely beloved and emotionally raw family-driven Emmy® nominated drama THIS IS US (Sept. 26), and political conspiracy thriller DESIGNATED SURVIVOR (Sept. 27); alongside returning fan favourites GOTHAM (Sept. 21), CRIMINAL MINDS (Sept. 27), and Thursdays sees the return of Shondaland’s GREY’S ANATOMY (Sept. 28), which kicks off its new season with a two-hour premiere; followed by HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER (Sept. 28). Also returning to CTV is the scorching-hot LUCIFER (Oct. 1), which ranked among the Top 4 in all key demos last year, and DC Comics’ THE FLASH (Oct. 10).

Additionally, a brand new season of THE VOICE returns to CTV Two airing Mondays at 8 p.m. ET, beginning Sept. 25 (Premiere Night). For the program’s Tuesday episodes, THE VOICE moves to CTV for two weeks only (Sept. 26 and Oct. 3), airing at 8 p.m. ET/PT, before settling into its regular Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET timeslot on CTV Two, beginning Oct. 10. Also returning to CTV Two are DC’s LEGENDS OF TOMORROW (Oct. 10) and ARROW (Oct. 18). Plus, as previously announced, NFL’s slate of THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL and SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL regular-season games land on CTV Two, beginning Sept. 7 and Sept. 10 respectively.

In advance of CTV’s highly anticipated fall premieres, Canada’s most-watched entertainment news program, ETALK, delivers an exclusive look at the upcoming series in CTV’s BIG FALL PREVIEW airing Friday, Sept. 15 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CTV and CTV GO. The one-hour special, hosted by ETALK Anchor Danielle Graham and Senior Reporter Devon Soltendieck, features exclusive series sneak peeks and interviews with the stars of CTV and CTV Two’s new and returning primetime series including Jason Ritter (KEVIN (PROBABLY) SAVES THE WORLD), Iain Armitage (YOUNG SHELDON), Kiefer Sutherland (DESIGNATED SURVIVOR), and the cast of last season’s TV darling, THIS IS US.
